Roadside Technicians

Roadside Operations are a 24 hour commitment, and Roadside and Recovery Staff are in demand 24 hours a day, and seven days a week. Over 50 full time staff drive its fleet of 60 specialist vehicles and HGV’s.

Ideally, applicants will hold a clean Driving Licence and have held a UK driving licence for at least three years.

Roadside technicians should be qualified but this is not essential if they have a sound knowledge of modern automotive technology and a passion for repairing vehicles.

All technicians are responsible for their own fully equipped roadside recovery vehicle and work a shift rotation system consistent with current working time directives. Above all, a friendly outgoing personality, is essential for all our roadside staff.

Salary is dictated by experience and qualifications. Career advancement within Westbourne Motors is actively supported for those with initiative, drive and determination.


Recovery Operatives

Due to continuing expansion and extending its areas of operation, Westbourne Motors has vacancies for C1, C1 + E, C and C + E drivers for local and long distance vehicle transportation and recovery.

Essential qualities for this role include previous experience of driving commercial vehicles and the ability to provide the highest levels of customer care..

Full training is provided at induction.

You will drive your own comfortable, modern vehicle equipped with the latest technology.

Ideally, you will use initiative, be energetic, self motivated, able to work either in a team or alone and always remain calm under pressure.

We actively encourage recovery staff to take part in our mechanical training to develop their knowledge and skills further.

Workshop Technicians

Wanted; suitably qualified Workshop Technicians to work at one of our three modern workshops at Hove, Haywards Heath or Fontwell near Chichester.

Our technician service and repair a wide variety of modern motor cars and small commercial vehicles.

Ideal candidates, will have experience of fault finding using diagnostic machinery and be able to solve problems in a logical sequence.

We also employ commercial vehicle technicians to service and repair our own fleet of commercial vehicles.

You will be friendly, hard working, self motivated and good at problem solving.

Controllers

Based at our Haywards Heath site you will receive calls from major motoring organisations and the public for vehicles crashed or broken down at the roadside.

Our UK Control Centre handles over 5000 jobs each month and dispatch the most appropriate recovery vehicle to the scene and acts as liaison between the roadside technician and the motoring club, so a friendly demeanour is essential.

Controllers work shifts including weekends and work in a team. Computer literacy is essential as is the ability to work under pressure. All newly appointed controllers are given full in – house training.

Workshop Technicians

Clerical Staff

Data Inputters and clerical staff are a necessary part of every organisation, and Westbourne Motors is no exception, whether it be Human Resources, Finance, Recruiting, Training or just General Admin.

Based at Hove, Haywards Heath or Fontwell some clerical jobs are part time and others full time, all require some degree of computer skills, whilst some will require liaison with the public.

Westbourne Motors promotes team ethics and a friendly helpful disposition is always welcome.
